SUMMARY:Easter Offering
DESCRIPTION:For our Easter Offering this year\, we encourage you to make a special contribution to our long-time partner\, San Lucas United Church of Christ (San Lucas UCC)\, located in Humboldt Park\, Chicago. San Lucas UCC\, is a small mission church providing much needed services to the community\, including a weekly meal\, emergency food & clothing\, and counseling. \nUnion Church has worked with San Lucas UCC for many years. We have a long history of assisting with food donations for the wonderful Thanksgiving meals they prepare each year for the community. Even more importantly\, Union congregation members deliver delicious\, homemade soup each week to San Lucas UCC. The soup is made lovingly by a longstanding crew of talented congregation members who work tirelessly each Monday to make the soup and deliver it to San Lucas on Tuesdays so it can be served with their community meal outreach! \nWe are excited that Craig Schaefer\, one of the members of the our amazing “Soup Ministry”\, will be joining us at service on March 24 (Palm Sunday) to tell us more about San Lucas UCC\, the role our soup ministry plays in their outreach\, as well as the difference that working with the Soup Ministry has made in his life. \nFor the Easter Offering\, you may donate to San Lucas UCC or make a special contribution to the church – or do both! You have two easy options for giving: \n1)  Give online right now through the church website. On Union’s website go to “Live Generously”\, “Make a Contribution”\, “Give – All Other Purposes” \, and select under “fund\,” select “Easter Offering – San Lucas” (all amounts donated under this selection will be donated to San Lucas UCC) or “Easter Offering – UCH” (all amounts donated under this selection will be shared by ministries of the church generally) and complete the rest of the information. To give to both\, please complete two separate donation transactions. \n2) Deposit a check in the offering basket during service OR send in a check. If some or all of your donation is intended for San Lucas UCC\, please tell us in the memo line or in a separate note. If all of your gift is intended solely for Union Church\, just send the check.
