The Boulevard provides residential care for homeless men and women in medical recovery. This 44-bed center on Chicago’s west side offers interim housing and support to ill and injured homeless adults. Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) is a progressive brain condition thought to be caused by repeated blows to the head. \nJim’s first two novels (Unintended Impact and Fatal Incident) have received outstanding reviews from readers and industry professionals. They have been recognized with awards\, including the Eric Hoffer Award\, the Indie Book Award\, and the International Book Award. \nOur speaker received his BA and MBA from Michigan State University and was honored as an outstanding alumni from the Eli Broad College of Business in 2001. DESCRIPTION:Stephen C Edwards\, tenor and Dana Brown\, piano will present a concert of the “most joyful song cycle ever written” by Gabriel Fauré\, “La Bonne Chanson\,” Sunday\, August 14 at 3:00 p.m. Additionally\, Stephen will sing 7 of the 36 selections by Franz Haydn that he and Dana will be recording for the Lexicon Classics Recording Label in November. This festive concert will finish up with songs about pianos including “I love a Piano” by Irving Berlin! For the Haydn pieces\, we will be joined by violinist\, Ilana Setapen and cellist\, David Sands.  The concert promises to be no more than one hour and will fill your heart with joy.  I cannot tell you how excited  I am to share this music with you! \nPlease see the attached flyer here.

SUMMARY:Church Outing to Uniquely Thursday!
DESCRIPTION:A staple of Hinsdale summer is celebrating its 20th year. Uniquely Thursday is a weekly festival with food trucks\, live music and camaraderie in Burlington Park near the Memorial Building and train station in downtown Hinsdale. Our church is the perfect location to meet up with each other and enjoy this time together. Park and meet up at church at 5:45 p.m. (north-side parking lot) and we’ll walk down to Uniquely Thursday together. This is a great way for new members and their mentors to meet\, as well as for friends in our congregation of all ages to spend time together. Uniquely Thursday begins at 6:00 p.m. at Burlington Park in Hinsdale. Bring your own picnic blanket or folding chair. If we miss you at the church parking lot\, we’ll see you down there at the park!

DESCRIPTION:Code Red Climate Crisis: In his recent book\, “How to Avoid a Climate Disaster\,” Bill Gates writes\, “If nothing else changes\, the world will keep producing greenhouse gases\, climate change will keep getting worse\, and the impact on humans will in all likelihood be catastrophic.”\n\nOur speaker\, Dorelle Ackermann\, a retired science teacher\, is passionate about climate change and global warming. She will address climate change that is evident today\, the basic science of global warming\, and the existing technology to “draw down” atmospheric carbon dioxide .\n\nPlease invite spouses\, friends and acquaintances. DESCRIPTION:On MAY 8\, immediately following the 10:00 a.m. worship service\, Stephen C Edwards and Stephen Uhl will present a short 20-minute Mini Concert featuring our new Steinway (Rachmaninov\, Gershwin\, Kandor\, Ebb and more)!
