For many of us here at Union, the experience of wondering where our next meal is coming from or not knowing where we’re going to sleep tonight is far from reality. But, sadly, there’s far too many who have this experience on a regular basis.

DuPage PADS is a local organization providing meals and shelter for our increasing homeless population. On a given day they serve over 300 people including over 100 children. DuPage PADS has worked for over 20 years to combat hunger and homelessness in DuPage County and has made great strides in improving the lives of many.
Through donations and local support, PADS was able to purchase a local motel during Covid where folks can now stay until they are able to secure permanent housing. Previously they spent the night on the floor at local churches, traveling from church to church daily, many walking or riding bikes, some with small children.
Through our financial and volunteer support they can continue to provide food and shelter to those who need it most. For the Easter Offering, you may donate to DuPage PADS, make a special contribution to the church, or do both!
You have two easy options for giving:
1) Give online by going to our website, hinsdale.church, and clicking the ‘Live Generously; Tab and click ‘Make a Contribution.’ Select “Easter Offering–PADS” (all amounts donated under this selection will be donated to DuPage PADS) or “Easter Offering – Union Church Ministries” (all amounts donated under this selection will be shared by ministries of the church generally) and complete the rest of the information. To give to both, please complete two separate donation transactions.
2) Deposit a check in the offering basket during service OR send in a check. If some/all of your donation is intended for DuPage PADS, tell us in the memo line or in a separate note. If all of your giving is intended solely for UCH, just send the check.
