The Christian Social Justice Ministry invites you to an evening with Matthew Desmond as he discusses his Pulitzer Prize winning book Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City. The book follows 8 Milwaukee families as they struggle to keep a roof over their heads. The book seeks to transform our understanding of poverty while providing fresh ideas for resolving devastating problems. Evicted reminds us of the centrality of home, without which nothing else is possible.

Thursday, November 9, 7:30pm, Barrows Auditorium, Wheaton College. Matthew Desmond is Professor of Sociology at Princeton University. To car pool, contact Carol Taylor at revcaroltaylor@gmail.com or 708-981-5080
