Through our Easter Offering last year, we were able to provide over $10,000 to build a new home for Ms. Julia, where she will be able to raise her family and be safe and healthy. With just a little landscaping work yet to do, Julia and her children are now in their home and are doing well! Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra musicians lead by Maestro Stephen Alltop present a French Feast on Sunday, April 23, 2023! Featuring a mix of woodwinds, harp, organ, and strings, the program will include music by Ravel, Fauré, Boëllmann, Grandjany, and Rabaud.

The mission component of our Making a Holy Difference campaign/fund is bearing fruit! The Ministry for Change recently approved a $15,500 grant from the accumulated proceeds of the Global Mission portion of the fund to complete important needed repairs at the Mike Solberg School in Waku Kungo, Angola. The school serves 779 K-8 students, and this grant will improve and sustain their learning environment!

April 30 11:15 to 12:00 in Rowell Hall Although we don’t do a formal ‘First Communion’ in the UCC, we periodically offer a class to help children better understand what ‘The Lord’s Supper’ is and why we do it.
