Simple Suppers are a way for people to enjoy a simple meal together, form friendships for our journey through life, and share the stories of our lives and of our faith. These groups generally consist of 12-16 people and meet once a month on an agreed upon evening.
Bible study is weekly (except during the summer months) and led by our Senior Minister. Everyone is welcome – no matter your level of Bible background or knowledge. Curiosity is so much more important! This group is very informal and you are welcome to join whenever you can.
The Care Team
The Care Team is composed of church members who have volunteered to be trained, through the Called to Care program of the United Church of Christ, as lay ministers for other people in our congregation. We offer comfort and emotional support, helping each person to feel safe, to feel heard, and to know that their situation will remain confidential. Our trained lay ministers help build supportive relationships that sustain in a life of faith, friendship, and trust in our church community.
Caring and Sharing Group
This lay-led support group for caregivers has been in existence at Union Church for many years. We offer each other emotional support, wisdom and practical advice as well as an occasional dose of humor. Confidentiality is the one and only rule of this group. Everything shared stays within the group.
Women’s Association focuses on fellowship and mission. Every woman who is a member of Union Church is welcome. As a group, we strive to support each other and the church while providing opportunities for growth and service. To learn more, click the link below.
Each month we gather to share a meal, tell stories, catch up, share a joke or two, and listen to an intriguing program. It is a gathering which is open to all, regardless of church membership. Lunch will be served prior to the program so we ask that you contact us to reserve your spot.
