This lively book club with rich discussions meets monthly. We’ll be discussing The Choice, by Dr. Edith Eva Eger which is on the stacks at the Hinsdale Public Library now. It is a fast read and one you can't put down once you start. Egar is motivating and spiritually uplifting. Any and all are welcome! On Sunday, April 24 we will be continuing with a Union Church rite of passage and presenting Bibles to our Third Graders. During Sunday School we will learn more about our Bibles and everyone (adults and children) are encouraged to bring their own Bibles. We are the thinking church after all. Based on the positive feedback from our spring Adult Ed series, we can sense this smart, engaged and thinking congregation has an appetite for more Adult Ed. We plan to discuss our fall programming and ideas at our May Christian Education meeting. Anyone who would like to be part of this conversation or help organize is welcome to join our meeting at 7pm in Helen Hall.

A staple of Hinsdale summer is celebrating its 20th year. Uniquely Thursday is a weekly festival with food trucks, live music and camaraderie in Burlington Park near the Memorial Building and train station in downtown Hinsdale. Our church is the perfect location to meet up with each other and enjoy this time together. Blessing of pets...and stuffed animals! Bring your non-human friends to church for a special blessing. Both services will be held outdoors on this day. We will have chairs available, but encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs or blanket.
