No 9:07 a.m. service.....
During Epiphany, a season between Christmas and Lent and one of new beginnings and reflection, we will hear from clergy, staff and members about what drives them, motivates them and calls them to be faithful followers of Christ. Our liturgical calendar focuses on call stories during this period. We will all have an opportunity to be introspective about our own call story. Be sure to join us, in person or online, as we learn more about our God, faith and […]
We are launching a new worship service this January with the matriarchs and patriarchs of our Union Church family in mind. On the third Thursday of every month, please join us for a worship service in our Sanctuary with your favorite hymns, Bible verses, and prayers. The service will begin at 12:07 p.m. in the Sanctuary followed by lunch and fellowship at 12:45 p.m. While this is a gentle service designed for seniors, everyone is welcome. If you need assistance […]

In the Sanctuary
We all love being in the woods and these services every spring & fall bring us a sense of renewal, reflection & energy. Fresh air & movement is good for us all. Celebrate the changing colors and seasons as we "Worship in the Woods" and take our church service in the form of a 30 minute hike at Fullersburg Woods (flat terrain, roughly 1/2 mile).

Bring your bag (work bag, school bag or handbag) to church and have it blessed for a year full of safe, joyful learning and growth. Wear your favorite school colors (high school, elementary, college and even UCECP) to church and join for a tailgate-style social with yard games in the Close and root beer floats from Parish Life after worship. What a fun way to welcome each other back from our summer adventures and kick off the school year together!
both 9:00 and 10:00 (outdoor services) Blessing of pets...and stuffed animals! Bring your non-human friends to church for a special blessing. Both services will be held outdoors on this day. Please send a photo of your pet so we can show it during our service should we need to move indoors (and keep pets at home) due to rain or print them in our worship order. Email the photo to Carissa Kapcar or drop in the church office mailboxes.
9:00 in the Chapel After almost three years of being outside during the pandemic, this service is moving back inside and back to the Chapel. We're also moving the time up to 9:00, but if you're running late - that's ok! Who actually gets places on time with kids in tow? Like God, we give grace. We'll have a great musician, Cole, leading us each week incorporating traditional hymns with his guitar. Reverend Grant will also be there every week […]
for both 9:00 and 10:00 worship services

September 17 at 10:00 in the sanctuary Koinonia is a Greek work from the New Testament that is hard to translate into English. Perhaps the best way to capture it is with the phrase "a shared life." However we word it exactly, the reality is that it was this koinonia that caused the thriving of the early church. As followers of Jesus, people found a community of connection, joy, meaning, and hope. It was not first of all beliefs about Jesus or God that mattered, […]
