  • Blessing of Pets

    Blessing of pets...and stuffed animals! Bring your non-human friends to church for a special blessing. Both services will be held outdoors on this day. We will have chairs available, but encourage you to bring your own lawn chairs or blanket.     Through thoughtful conversations, intentional vulnerability, and embodied practices of the Christian mystical tradition, we'll enkindle our hearts again as we discover new ways to offer our male experience for the holding and healing of our world in this vulnerable moment in history.   • The Christmas Offering – “The Boulevard of Chicago”

    This year’s Christmas Offering will support The Boulevard of Chicago, one of the mission partners we work with throughout the year. The Boulevard provides residential care for homeless men and women in medical recovery. This 44-bed center on Chicago’s west side offers interim housing and support to ill and injured homeless adults. Residents are provided services to enable them to transition to independent living.     Do you love to sing? Come give Chancel Choir a try -- our open house is scheduled for January 11. We will start in the Close at 7:00 p.m. with snacks and then move into a rehearsal at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room. A concerto (pronounced con-CHAIR-toe) is a piece of music written for soloist(s) accompanied by an orchestra or other ensemble. Basically, it’s a chance for a virtuoso musician to show off what they can do while the rest of the orchestra backs them up, and this ConcertoFest! is packed with virtuoso soloists.
