TIM’s TALES (9/10/25)
The start of a new program season always thrills me—people return from the summer holidays, the building refills with the bustle of events and activities, music gets bolder, and delightful child noises resound through the halls.
September 2025 launches exciting times at Union Church. Among the events of the month:
- The new UCH Softball Team plays their first playoff game at Veeck Park, September 3
- Raising their voices to the glory of God, the Chancel Choir starts rehearsals, join the fun! September 3
- Working with one of his seminary professors, Pastor Grant Glowiak has prepared an outdoor interactive Pet Blessing and Communion Service on the lawn, September 7
- The fantastic Steinway Concert Series features the 606Five Winds in a thrilling performance, September 7
“But Wait! There’s More!” This September you can join engaging book studies, learn about conflict resolution, do yoga, connect with Prime Time, make sandwiches to feed hungry people, help young people explore a career, learn about the United Church of Christ, play bridge, play chimes, and get ready for the Resale 2025.
The people and pastors of Union Church lean into the good and Godly work of the church. The people open their hands to pray together, to work together, to serve together, and to praise together. The pastors work to engage and empower people to find fresh ways to purposefully serve God and neighbor. And this September, the Sr. Minister Search Committee will officially begin its work.
