A staple of Hinsdale summer is celebrating its 20th year. Uniquely Thursday is a weekly festival with food trucks, live music and camaraderie in Burlington Park near the Memorial Building and train station in downtown Hinsdale. Our church is the perfect location to meet up with each other and enjoy this time together. Stephen C Edwards, tenor and Dana Brown, piano will present a concert of the "most joyful song cycle ever written" by Gabriel Fauré, "La Bonne Chanson," Sunday, August 14 at 3:00 p.m. Additionally, Stephen will sing 7 of the 36 selections by Franz Haydn that he and Dana will be recording for the Lexicon Classics Recording Label in November. Blessing of backpacks...and work bags! Bring your bags to be blessed as we reenter the school year and a fresh new season of work.
2nd through 12th graders, join us in the Courtyard/Close to make s'mores and talk about how the first week of school went (for those who have already started by then)!
Through thoughtful conversations, intentional vulnerability, and embodied practices of the Christian mystical tradition, we'll enkindle our hearts again as we discover new ways to offer our male experience for the holding and healing of our world in this vulnerable moment in history.
